Zainab Umar, was on Monday arraigned before a Shari’a Court in Magajin Gari, Kaduna, over alleged conspiracy and cheating involving the sun of N300,000.
Umar whose address was not disclosed, is being charged with conspiracy, misappropriation and cheating.
The Prosecutor, ASP Luka Sadau, said that the defendant took her boyfriend named, Mansur, to the complainant, Zainab Muhammad, to purchase three bags of groundnut worth N300,000.
Sadau said that Umar’s boyfriend promised to pay for the groundnuts within one week, but failed to fulfill his promise.
He said that all efforts made by the complainant to get her money proved abortive.
Speaking, the defendant admitted taking her boyfriend to the complainant, adding that she had no intention to cheat.
The Judge, Malam Kabir Muhammad, adjourned the case until Jan. 27 for the defendant to present her boyfriend before the court.
