After match day 4 of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria failed to take place, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has given the Libya Football Federation a deadline, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The North African country was supposed to host the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the reverse fixture on Tuesday, but the game failed to take place after all efforts of the visitors to gain entrance into the country failed. The three-time African champions chose to return back to Nigeria after spending 20- hours at the airport in Libya.
The African football governing body on Wednesday summoned the Libya Football Federation to explain what why the visitors were treated in the manner they were.
CAF on Thursday went a step further and issued the Libya Football Federation October 20 as the deadline day to respond to the allegations.
