The Association of Female Politicians, Ondo State, has described the re-election of Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu as a well-deserved victory, stating that ‘it signifies a strong commitment of the people to continuity of developmental and industrialization strides which the Akeredolu administration exemplifies.’
Convener of the Group, Engr. Mrs. Janet Febisola Adeyemi in her remarks expressed hope that the governor’s second term will also herald renewed hope for women political emancipation.
‘We felicitate with the governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu, on his re-election. We also felicitate with his wife, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu and his Deputy Governor-elect, Hon Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa on a well-deserved victory at the polls,’ she said, adding that ‘women across the state stood solidly behind the governor, and voted massively for his re-election with renewed hope that gender issues will be put on the front-burner while more women will be appointed to serve in key positions where impact can be made.
The Association of Female Politicians is a registered association of eminent women in politics from Ondo State, who share passion for the development of women, and who belong to various political parties.
