Newly elected President of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Afam Osigwe, has been sworn in as 32nd President of the association.
Gatekeepers News reports that Osigwe took the oath of office on Thursday in a ceremony held in Lagos
Osigwe who took over from Yakubu Maikyau in July 2023, secured the position in NBA presidential election by defeating two other contestants.
The former General Secretary of NBA was declared the winner by Chairman of Electoral Committee of the NBA, Oluseun Abimbola, after securing 50.52 per cent of the votes cast.
Osigwe during his inaugural speech, pledged his commitment to ensuring that NBA remains a powerful voice in the nation’s democratic process.
He also expressed gratitude to members of the association for trusting him to lead them right.
