The African Centre for Leadership, Strategy & Development (Centre LSD) will hold a Grant Inception Meeting on the Side-by-Side Movement for Gender Justice Scale Up Project in Abuja on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
The focal person for the Side-by-Side Movement for Gender Justice at the Center, Mr. Nyong Essien, stated in a statement that the Movement is a global platform for bringing together faith/traditional leaders and people of faith as advocates of gender justice. The Movement, which has been in existence since 2018 and is supported by Christian Aid, recently received additional support from the Ford Foundation to deepen its engagement in the two states of Benue and Kano.
Centre LSD is therefore organizing the project inception meeting to create awareness about the project and bring stakeholders together towards the effective implementation of the core support for scaling up the side-by-side movement for the gender justice project.
Expected at the meeting are religious and traditional leaders, key government MDAs and civil society organizations, that offer response services to victims of gender-based violence.
