Continental Secretariat commends Partners, Asokoro-Ogaji, Traore, Gustave, others for successful training of volunteers

‘Women in Mining-Africa (WiM-Africa) extends sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the recent training for WiM-Africa Volunteers and Implementing Partners across the continent,’ a statement from the continental body has said.

The statement, which was signed by the WiM-Africa Secretariat was made public via the WiM-Africa YouTube and Whatsapp Channels on Tuesday.

The Secretariat commended the Executive Director for her vision and commitment to the advancement of the mineral sector in Africa.

‘A special thanks to our Executive Director, Comfort Asokoro-Ogaji (Ph.D), for her unwavering leadership and vision,’ the statement said, adding: ‘We are also deeply grateful to Adeola Adewale-Olajugbagbe (Ph.D), Mr. Mac Gustave, and Mr. Boubacar Issa Traore for their invaluable contributions.’

‘Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to our mentors, volunteers, and senior members who participated, as well as the NGOs who sent representatives to join us.’

Addressing the NGOs, the WiM-Africa Secretariat said in the statement: ‘Your involvement and support have made a significant impact on the success of this training and enhanced our capacity for the mission.’

‘Thank you all for your dedication and commitment to advancing our mission.’

The continental body enjoined mining sector professionals and enthusiasts across the world to ‘follow the WiM-Africa Youtube Channel where recordings will soon be uploaded.’
