With the goal to empower young children with technological skill set, a United Kingdom based Nigerian entrepreneur, Arinze Nwokolo has sponsored Biuda, an EDUTECH company that aims to equip children with essential technology skills, laying a strong foundation for their future in the digital world.
The Biuda Scholarship Program will give children a headstart in the tech industry, with its plan to grant over 200 children free of charge access to computer training and foundational tech skills.
Speaking with the CEO, Patrick Chukwu, he hinted that registration has since commenced via the organisation website (https://www.biudahq.com/scholarship) and parents or guardians of children between the ages of 6 – 16 years are encouraged to apply before December 30th, 2024.
He further explained that the program will provide beneficiaries with hands-on learning experiences, introducing them to the basics of computing, digital literacy, and problem-solving skills essential in today’s tech-driven world stating that BIUDA’S goal is not only to teach these children how to use technology but also to inspire a passion for innovation, creativity, and learning that will open up countless opportunities as they grow.
The CMO, Elijah Adesina on his part asserted that all children within the age catchment were welcomed to register and selections would be made and beneficiaries would be contacted with modalities set in place for a smooth learning experience.
He further explained that the training which is scheduled to hold between January to March, 2025 had already outlined the phases of implementation including Registration, application review, announcements of beneficiaries, onboarding and graduation/certification.
Mr. Elijah clarified that the training would be virtual and flexible, hence it would not impede the normal academic routines of the beneficiary but rather enhance their creative thinking abilities.
