A former Minister of State for Interior and Foreign Affairs, Alhaji Abubakar Achituwo Tanko, is dead.
He reportedly passed away in Abuja.
Governor Mohammed Bago of his state of Niger has extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late minister.
In a statement issued to newsmen in Minna on Saturday, November 16, 2024, by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, Governor Bago expressed deep sorrows over Achituwo’s passing.
He described Achituwo’s death as a great loss to both Niger State and Nigeria.
He said that the void left by the late minister would be difficult to fill.
The governor prayed to Allah to grant Alhaji Achituwo Aljanna Firdausi and encouraged his family to find comfort in the knowledge that life and death were in Allah’s hands.
He further praised the late Achituwo for his significant contributions to the progress of Niger State and the nation during his tenure as Minister of State for Interior and Foreign Affairs.
