- urges Nigerians to keep faith in President Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda.”
The Honourable Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah as they join the rest of the world to commemorate the 2024 Eid-el-Kabir celebration, calling on Nigerians to continue keeping faith with the ‘Renewed Hope’ administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
Prince Audu’s Eid-el-Kabir message was conveyed in a statement made available by his Special Assistant on Media, Lizzy Okoji, on Sunday in Abuja.
The Honourable Minister further urged Nigerians and Muslim faithfuls to reflect on the sacrifices and acts of obedience of Prophet Ibrahim, who trusted in Almighty Allah (SWT) even at his most trying time, and the rewards afterwards, noting that the sacrifices and trials we are going through as a nation will yield positive results soon, thus ushering in dividends of democracy, good governance, and a better life for all citizens as envisaged by the robust policies and bold reform programmes of Mr President.
He further called on Nigerians not to relent in their prayers for the nation, stressing the need for patriotism as well as the importance of working together in peace, unity, and harmony for the development of the nation, noting that the electioneering season is over and now is the time for nation-building and good governance irrespective of political, ethical, and/or religious divides.
Prince Audu also stated that the 25 years of uninterrupted democracy of Nigeria’s fourth republic should not be taken for granted and has shown how formidable Nigeria can be as a nation, adding that “though tribes and tongues may differ, in brotherhood we MUST continue to stand.”
The Honourable Minister enjoined citizens to remember, celebrate, and extend charity to fellow compatriots who are underprivileged, reminding them of the teachings of peace and almsgiving of Prophet Mohammed (SAW).
The Honourable Minister also reiterated his commitment to delivering on his mandate of reviving the steel industry in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, which is geared at growing the economy to over $1 trillion by 2031 as well as creating millions of job opportunities for Nigerians, especially youths, thus making Nigeria a global investment destination, among other initiatives.
“On behalf of myself, my family, and the entire staff of the Federal Ministry of Steel Development, I wish the President and Nigerians a happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration,” Prince Audu stated.
