NACABS Polytechnic under the auspices of a non-profit making organization known as RIFAD AFRICA with its CEO, Ambassador Fidelis Inyom through its education scheme has matriculated 50 students.
The event which took place on August 10, 2024 was held at Blessed Child Comprehensive School, Waru had in attendance business tycoons, top echelons, captains of industries and traditional rulers.
Speaking with the CEO, RIFAD Africa Coordinator, Ambassador Fidelis Inyom, expressing his delight, he said
“We’re seeing more students excited about learning and staying in school” .”The support from Waru community and the government has been instrumental in making sure our students are prepared and motivated to move forward.”
Inyom said, “With ongoing efforts to address the challenges in the education system, experts are optimistic about further improvements in matriculation rates in the coming years. Continued investment in education and targeted interventions are seen as critical to sustaining and enhancing these positive trends.”
He commended the courage of the guests who have come from far and wide to attend the occasion despite the country’s socio-economic and political challenges.
He admonished the students to be resilient in their pursuit of academic excellence.
In the same vein the Director of Studies, NACABS, Dr. Paul Obagwo thanked God for a successful matriculation and encouraged the students to be focused and always aspire for greater heights in their future endeavours.
He further stated that “Despite the positive trends, some schools, especially those in rural and economically disadvantaged areas, continue to face significant hurdles. These challenges include limited access to quality education, inadequate infrastructure, and socio-economic factors that affect student attendance and performance.” he said.
