President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Folashade Arinola Adekaiyaoja, as the Deputy Director General of the Department of State Services, DSS.
The approval, the first of its kind by any President, report said, sought to revise the agency’s structure for better efficiency.
This, learnt, was in line with the original organogram of the Service.
Checks revealed that the DSS is structured to comprise three Deputy Directors General in its hierarchy.
The appointment and ratification by the President was based on the recommendation of the DSS DG, through the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
It was learnt that the DSS DG, Mr Adeola Ajayi, has, since stepping in the saddle, been quietly reforming the service , revising wrong actions, reorganising the service, among other moves in a deliberate bid to restore the service to its respectable status of an archetypal secret service of yesteryear, not joining issues in the media, but doing great things behind the veils.
