Aminu Tambuwal, former governor of Sokoto State, has advised President Bola Tinubu to rein in his aides and ministers from castigating the administration of his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari.
Tambuwal made this call during the stakeholder meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto State on Sunday.
He argued that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is more interested in grabbing power than securing the country and bringing about development.
Tambuwal stated that President Tinubu’s government has failed to secure Nigerians and bring development, yet they are quick to disassociate themselves from Buhari’s administrative failure.
He noted that Tinubu has greatly benefited from Buhari’s administration as a member of the APC and should not allow his aides to attack the past government.
Tambuwal urged President Tinubu to face the task of governing Nigeria with serious-minded attention and not allow myopic tendencies to destroy his plans for the country.
He advised PDP supporters in the state not to be discouraged by the happenings in the country but to unite and ensure political understanding amongst themselves.
Tambuwal emphasized the importance of determination, commitment, discipline, and respect for the party’s progress.
He encouraged PDP supporters to remain united and focus on bringing about positive change in the country.
