President Bola Tinubu has mourned the death of Chief Oluremi Atanda, former Chairman of the Old Oyo State Civil Service Commission,
Tinubu, in a statement issued by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, extended his heartfelt condolences to the Atanda family over the passing of their patriarch.
He said the late Atanda founded the respected Atanda Continuing Education Centre, which served as a training ground for many students preparing for university education in the south-west of Nigeria in the 1970s and 1980s.
“President Tinubu mourned the renowned educationist and administrator who contributed immensely to the development of Old Oyo State and Nigeria.
“While commiserating with the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, and the people of Iwoland, President Tinubu prayed for the repose of the soul of the elder statesman.”
